Take in the noise, the music, the vibrant colors and conversation, all filling the space in the spunky, yet charming place that The Hair Fetish is today, and one couldn’t imagine its humble, and heartfelt beginnings.
Back in April 2000, when the salon first opened, the space was much smaller, just a third of its current size, and the staff much smaller; home to only one stylist, its owner, Kelly Seymour.
Following the loss of her father two years prior, Kelly was determined to do something great. She wanted to create something that could endure time and its limits, and embody the fun and free spirit that she thrived on.
So, with less than enough money, but more than enough heart, Kelly put everything she had into little space that could and would, become the salon with an incomparable reputation for its positive vibe, inviting atmosphere, and one-of-a-kind experience for its guests.
With the help of a creative and ever-evolving team of talent, The Hair Fetish continues to bend the conventional expectations of what a hair salon should be, by simply being itself, and encouraging all its guests to come in and do the same.
It was family that inspired its creation and fourteen years later, The Hair Fetish still plays in that same key. Each guest that comes, and continues to walk through its doors, becomes an essential part of its awesome and eccentric, cool and creative, wild, and beautiful family.
